Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Tablet Based Test (“we”, “the app”) collects and how it is used when you practice government-style tablet-based tests (TBT).
Account & sign-in
You create an account with your mobile number and a password (plus name, Aadhaar, and photo during registration). You sign in with mobile and password. We do not use SMS OTP for login or password reset.
Data we collect
- Mobile number — primary account identifier for login and support.
- Password — stored only as a one-way hash. We never store your password in plain text.
- Name — profile / KYC display.
- Aadhaar — we store a one-way hash and the last 4 digits only. The full Aadhaar number is not kept at rest. You may re-enter the full number to reset your password (we compare hashes; the number is not re-stored in readable form).
- Profile photo — captured during registration / KYC; stored on our server and served via our media API.
- Face / liveness check — during photo capture we run on-device face detection (eye-blink check) to reduce fake/spoofed photos. Face geometry is processed on your device for that check; we store the resulting photo, not a separate biometric template database.
- Exam activity — selected exam/subjects, tests taken, answers, scores, ranks (for history / leaderboard on eligible plans).
- Payments — on iOS, subscriptions are processed by Apple In-App Purchase. On Android, payments are processed by Razorpay. We store order/payment ids, plan, amount, and status. Card, UPI, or Apple ID secrets are not stored by us.
- Device / technical logs — IP and request metadata for rate limiting and abuse prevention (mobile numbers are masked in application logs where logged).
How we use data
- Authenticate you, keep sessions secure, and let you reset a forgotten password using mobile + Aadhaar verification
- Enforce plan limits (subjects, daily tests, AI features)
- Show scores, review, ads (Free plan), and leaderboards (eligible plans)
- Process subscriptions and prevent fraud
- Optional AI explanations (Premium) via Google Gemini when enabled by admin
- Optional score sharing from the app (you choose when to share; shared text may include public app download links configured by admin)
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Processors may include: payments (Apple In-App Purchase on iOS, Razorpay on Android) and AI (Google Gemini when enabled). Ads shown to Free users are managed by our admin CMS. We do not use an SMS OTP provider for authentication.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Account → Delete my account). We archive a copy of your profile for operational analysis, then anonymize your live account (so you can register again with the same mobile), revoke sessions, and cancel active subscriptions. Payment and test history may remain for legal/accounting needs.
Children
The app is intended for exam candidates; it is not directed at children under 13.
